50% Cloud Artists Lounge

The project is a restaurant located in the Dongfengyun Art Town in Mile County, which is known as “Yunnan Provence”. The artist Luo Xu seems to put all his romantic, crazy and unconstrained artistic ideas into his hometown, and the restaurant is situated in his artwork building named “50%Cloud”. Without a single steel bar or nail, this “utopia” built on red soil is completely composed of local red bricks and blends into nature.

The building looks like a mega art installation and half of a cloud that undulates in the sky. It features solid facades, curved contours and volumes set at staggering heights.

CCD team extracts the curved lines of the building and applies them to the entire interior space. Every article in the space is an artwork. The curved steel panel at the entrance leads guests to enter the interior, while adding an artistic touch to the space and evoking imagination as well. Besides, the thriving greenery inside enlivens the dining atmosphere. Natural light casts onto rough bricks, which are well matched with soft lighting and tasteful furnishings, together producing an environment that encourages guests to interact with space and nature. The overall interior design turns dining into fantastic multi-sensory experiences.

Club InterContinental of InterContinental Shenzhen Dameisha Resort

The resort is located on the spectacular coastline with a superior natural environment. The spiritual core of the interior design is to create a rare waterfront city resort with pure and home-like living environment. Therefore, the interior design uses the basic tone of black, white and gray coupled with natural burly wood, which creates a humanistic spiritual world and a comfortable experience that filled with oriental Zen atmosphere to guests. In the process of transformation, the designer maintains the integrity of the original landform and building to the greatest extent and doesn’t transform the buildings excessively. Instead, it enriches the architectural form by adding different functional areas with interior design elements like the courtyard, waterscape, daylight, etc. Besides, it makes good use of glass walls and increases the role of natural light, which ensures a close connection among landscape, architecture and interior.

W Changsha

For thousands of years, Changsha is a famous city of glory and Star. CCD used the basic techniques of edges, corners and lines, plus elements with a sense of futuristic technology, to present an interstellar play world where the historical civilization and the future meet, and a spiritual realm exclusively for Changsha.

The large-angle bent copper section wall in the lobby is alternately compressed by concave and convex, extending the structure of time and space, guiding visitors detach from reality and immersed in a multidimensional journey of time and space. The industrial-style metal background of the front desk is bent to create large-angle bumps and layers. With sharp edges and corners, and a very sculptural sense, it breaks the fixed impression of the hotel. The mixture of dark tones and bright vivid color extend and lengthen the space of lobby bar, and the neat lines depict a rational space, deducing mysterious atmosphere.

The scattered stars were re-arranged by the designer, combining simple points, lines, and plane concepts and bold color schemes with the creative elements of past and future, and culture and technology. The crossover collision creates a stunning visual feast of new trends while the whole space presenting a sense of harmony and luxury.
