Transcendental Cove Way Bungalow
Conceptualised as a car collector’s home, this luxurious Sentosa Cove bungalow features bold and confident lines that make a stylistic statement all its own. For the exterior façade, the architect chose to frame its outlook with sculptural gardenias, anchoring it with a contrasting car porch trellis, a dominant archway and a “Flying Roof”. In the night, the lit granite stepping stones invite guests on a verdant path towards the main entrance where the multi-faceted personality of this 15,800 square feet property unfolds. This home houses many interesting interior design details – a whimsical grand foyer that lifts the spirit with silent musical notes, a floating spiral stairwell, a ginormous timber door, a star-dusted home theatre, a glamorous home bar, a topless glass elevator, and a spacious convertible basement which can showcase 16 collector cars or be effortlessly transformed into an entertainment venue. During the day, taking centre stage is the lap pool which is sandwiched between the home’s living and dining pavilions, providing a visual vista to a charming waterway as well as instant access to an inviting lap pool and jacuzzi. This Sentosa Cove project was a Singapore Design Award Winner.
Jazz It Up
In the exacting world of high-fidelity sound production, every placement of equipment and furniture has an impact. As interior designers who care immensely about details that affect visual integrity, this collaboration was a pairing made in heaven. While many shy away from the endless discussions about the angle of contour of the home theatre ceiling while gunning for optimum acoustics, D’Perception Ritz was energised by the attention to detail. With a common language for precision, the owners gave the designers free rein in what they do best: floating staircase on a unifying vibrant yellow wall; seamless indoor-outdoor transition; designer shoe showcase; black glass wardrobes; hideaway TV in the dining; stylised home gym; high-style home bar and home theatre; and a biomorphic bathtub. This A&A makeover & renovation provided the perfect backdrop for the client’s impeccable choice of designer furniture and furnishings.
House of Thirds
Taking the cue from the client’s sophisticated and timeless sense of style, the interior design inspiration was finely anchored in the Rule of Thirds. Proportionality and dynamism are undergirded by this simple rule. A matte neutral palette, clean lines, organic material, natural lighting and sleek technologies converge to deliver an air of haute couture elegance in this minimalist interior design makeover. The disciplined approach to design is carried through to the finessed stairs landing, showroom-worthy closet, bespoke bathroom and seamless cabinetry. It is a perfect backdrop to showcase Minotti Furniture.
Modern Eclectic Classicism
In this multi-generation home catering to divergent stylistic sensibilities – European Inspired Stateliness vs Contemporary – a seamless integration is achieved. The counterpoint of sleek tinted gold mirror frames in the living room complements the plush opulence of the generously sized European seating, while at the same time, artfully blends with the sleek open concept Ultra Modern kitchen. Life-sized Medieval Armored Knights stand guard in the dining room. The black and white kitchen theme continues to be picked up in the young couple’s ensuite bedroom. The matriach and patriarch, on the other hand, uphold their stylistic signature by maintaining the classical European theme in the master ensuite. Lifestyle integrity for all three generations is maintained for a truly harmonious family.
